SampansThis is another image from my China series. These sampans were spotted as we cruised down the Yangtze River. Surprisingly, these were the only small boats we saw on the Yangtze that had sails. Most of the fishing boats and houseboats we saw were propelled by motors...another sign of the changes we saw in all the places we visited in China.
