Crested CaracaraThis immature crested caracara was photographed on Padre Island National Seashore a while back. The adolescent and it's parents were just hanging out in the grassy area across the road from the beach, sitting on fence posts, and posing for photos. Being so close to these three magnificent birds was a real treat, and getting great close-up photographs was icing on the cake!
